Dear KBP

why dont u dry out ur laundry in a more wide open space like on the deck they would dry faster?

Well, the trick is that it is rarely "dry" out on the open deck. Yes, it's true that the crew members dry a lot of their fish on deck. But when they're drying fish, they aren't all that concerned with how long it takes. So if the fog rolls in and coats everything with a thin layer of water, the drying fish don't seem to mind. There's also rain that could come up at any time. And, of course, salt spray (also not a problem for the fish). So while it would work to dry clothes on deck, it might take a week or more before everything is really "dry." And besides, who wants their undies hanging out in the open for just anybody To see?
