Kuril Islands Biocomplexity

Enjoy your upcoming adventure to Kuril!  I'll be keeping an eye out.  I'll try to give you updates on the M's so you won't feel quite the disconnect.  After all, the Royals did win 2 of 3 last week.  Wink  I'll also be looking forward to hearing about South Africa in November.  I'm working on a trip there myself for next summer.

Nice to hear from you!  Thanks for the good wishes (and I will look forward to the Mariners updates!).   They've been playing pretty well (oops! Did I say that outloud! darn!)

Sitting here watching Nadal try to pull one out on Federer in the Wimbledon Finals - looks like a 5th set is in the works!

Only two and a half more days until I leave!   EEEK!

I will definitely keep you in the loop on South Africa (might have to post a "mini-journal" on the PolarTREC site by popular demand.....of course, we plan to go see at least one Cape Fur Seal colony so there WILL be science involved!  I wonder if ARCUS would give me a sat phone for the trip.....)   Looks like I might be in Norway for a week in April, too! A friend of mine will be teaching in Trondheim for a year.

How go the preparations/plans for Antarctica?  Do you know what you will be doing and where you will be going or when, yet?
