Why did you pick up Japanese and Russian scientist?

OliviaThe Kurils Islands project is an international project so we are working with scientists from other countries near the islands - which includes Japan and Russia.  Last year, the Japanese scientists that we worked with were archaeologists and this year they were mostly geologists.  The Russian scientists that we worked with were both geologists and archaeologists (both years).
