Dear Ms. Nikula, I was wondering if you could do me a big favor.  Track down Danielle Plante and inform her to check her e-mails or e-mail her fiancés (PleaseLaughing).  By reading your journal entries it sounds like everybody is working too hard and no time for fun.  Whenever the sun comes out, lay down your shovels and picks and enjoy the rays…

Doug, Dani is doing fine and seems to always have a big smile on her face. We are working hard, but some of us DO have a little bit of down time each evening to hang out around the beach fire. Sorry, if I have given a different impression by focusing on the excavation too much.
Dani doesn't have any way to check her email here. I think that she tried to email you from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, but she was unsure that she had the address correct. If you want to get a hold of her, it would be easiest to send it via my email address here which is mnikula@polartrec.com and I will be sure that she reads it.
We are headed back to the Iskatel on July 31 and then she and I will be in different camps from Aug 2-6 (or so - the plan is always a bit flexible).
