hi. my name is caitlin and i go to st.mark school in florida, and i was looking at the Bot House and i wanted to know how this being out in the field, will effect the way you work, or maybe the time it takes for you to research

thank you

Hello Caitlin!
Thanks for taking the time to "check in" with me! The Bot House will be a great, and necessary, resource while in the field. First, it provides protection from the wind and blowing sand to both researchers and the robot. It's cold standing outside all day, so the Bot House will provide shelter and warmth! The robot ENDURANCE also needs a warm, and debris free, environment to "rest" in between missions. After each mission, the robot will be hoisted out of the water and will be kept in the Bot House.
The Bot House is also large enough for the researchers to set up their electronics that are needed to run the experiments. They basically will be setting up a lab within the Bot House.
So, the Bot House provides warmth and protection from the elements, it provides a safe resting area for the robot, and allows a lab to be set up and stationed with computers and electronics. Having all this in one place will make the data collection much more efficient!
Hope that helps! It's a big shelter!
Cheers,
Robin
