Hello,
Thanks for checking in! The "Terror Bus" is pretty impressive isn't it? My understanding is that this bus "style" was originally made for polar bear tours up in the Arctic (just to be clear - there are NO polar bears in Antarctica - we are just using the same type of bus!). It is a very bumpy ride! The bus simply has MASSIVE wheels with huge treads and is VERY heavy, so it grips the ice pretty well. There are times when is struggles to maintain a grip, but overall it does quite well!
It is VERY fun to be diving in Antarctic water; but it is VERY cold! Luckily, our dry suits keep us fairly warm! I hope you get a chance to try it someday; I would love to hear what you think about it! We are supposed to go diving this Wednesday at a place called "The Wall"! It is my favorite dive spot (at least so far!), so I am very excited! I definately be posting a journal and pictures, so keep an eye out for them!
Keep in touch!
Cheers,
Robin
