wat things did u pack that u could?

how many siutcasses did it take?

how is ur robot getting to the antarctic?

Hello Frankie,
I am packing a lot of WARM clothes and a few summer clothes for when I am in New Zealand and in the buildings in McMurdo Station. I also am taking a flag that my students made. I am going to attach it to our robot and "fly" it under the ice - won't that be cool! We also sent a flag to Jeff Peneston who is going to fly it on the reseach vessel "Oden" for us! That will be fun.
All of my "stuff" fits into two suit cases. One has all my SCUBA gear in it; this bag will go all the way to Antarctica. The other bag has all my other "stuff" in it. I will have to transfer all these things into two small orange duffle bags in New Zealand. So - it all has to eventually fit into two small bags, so I'm really not allowed to take anything "extra." 
The robot is getting to Antarctica by ship and then cargo plane. It should be there about the same time I arrive! I look forward to seeing it again!
