Hello Robin and the team,

We loved  the pictures of you...super!  We have now noticed that Tat appears to be missing, too cold for him?  Does he not have the right clothing?  Can he swim?JK JK...LOL

But seriously, we have a few more questions.  What are micro moles, as we measure oxygen in parts per million?   Is the Algae like the same algae we have here in our pond, and waterways?  How is the penguin?  We would love to come down and help rescue it, but we don't have a ride or the cash, or permission, or the right clothes or a whole lot of other stuff.

Talk to you on Monday!

Hello Jillian and Flagstaff!
Glad you liked the pictures! Funny you should mention TAT - I actually had taken him to the dive hole with me on the day I received this note from you. I forgot to "suit him up"! So - I did it the next day! Then our internet went out for 3 days, so I haven't been able to share with anyone - but the journals and pictures are posted now! TAT is doing GREAT!
A micro mol is one millionth of a mol (which is how much of a substance there would need to be to be equal to carbon 12 mass). The algae here, although it has many of the same and similar organisms, is nothing like algae in typical ponds/lakes. It is really bizarre looking stuff - and it's thick (at least in the shallow water!) and jelly like! It's really cool to see it!
The penguin was not rescued and has not been seen. In my mind - he/she waddled her penguin tail right back to the colony and is living happily ever after.....  hmmmm.
I look forward to chatting with you!
Cheers,
Robin
