I can't believe you are headed to the Arctic! You've been traveling around the world on this project ---- what makes going to the Arctic so special?

Hi Janet!What an amazing place this is, and so COLD!
So, the idea for the Arctic compliments what we have done on the other ocean cruises. We are trying to pull together a global perspective to compare and contrast the polar and equatorial ocean basins. The idea is that what happens in one place ultimately affects the others.
Sampling in the relatively dark polar environment helps us to study seasonal change over time.
