Hi Frank, Loved the blue ice and blown ice picture, great perspective. Will Barrow have sea ice all summer, is this a regular occurance? Thanks! Jillian

Hi Jillian,
Hope the rest of summer has been enjoyable for you. I can't wait to catch a few days off before the excitement of school begins.
The sea ice here comes and goes. Usually, according to oral history, the ice is gone and does not return. This summer has been different for unknown reasons. It's been a fun thing to watch. I asked the kids if they see horses or dragons or ships in it, kind of like you see objects in big fluffy clouds, they looked at me like I had slipped a gear or two
Well, finishing up tomorrow in the field, and Sat. head out. Thanks for sharing the wonders of living on water, great stories!!
