Dear mr. kelley and the team,

I was just wondering what the ultimate goal of your research was? did you have any questions? did you answer them? how did you answer them?

Frank Kelley

Hi out there!
I think I answered your question about the goal of our work at some point but it must not have gone through. Here's my second attempt.
-The goals of the project were to document human remains and other materials found out at the Nuvuk site before they eroded into the sea.
-We worked really hard to get as much information as possible from the burial sites as well as from another area we called the Driftwood Feature. We would have enjoyed the luxury to do more work but family, jobs, and other responsibiities pulled us in from the field.
-The Nuvuk work will be continuing this summer, no PolarTREC teacher though. I will try to maintain contact with the folks up there so look for more journal entries later this year.
-Overall, I think we achieved our group goals as well as individual ones. I learned about the people, their history, and how an archaeologist works. I also had fun too.
-Your question of how we answered our questions is a good one. It varied depending on where we were and what we were looking at. There is loads of info about the "how" in the journal entries from this past summer.
Hope you continue to follow the PolarTREC site!!
