Hi Frank,

Maybe you covered this in a journal, and if so, I apologize, but are you living in #268? Do you have roommates? I'm just curious, because as you know from my journal and photo gallery, I'm staying in a tent with a roommate as are most of the 100 or so researchers who work at Toolik.

Take care, Cathy

Hi Cathy,
Thanks for the reminder to give an update on the people I am working with. Dave Grant is a fine guy who specializes in osteology, (the study of bones) he's been introducing me to the ins and out of archaeology as well as the workings of BASC. He's a digger!!
The other guy, Tony, is a Hampshire College graduate heading off to grad school. He is a wealth of knowledge and skill. I would have asked him three or four questions tonight as I write up my journal but he's not here. He's the man who works the mapping device known as TOTAL.
The quonset hut gives us a little more protection than a tent, even though we did find a leak in the roof when we came back from the field today.
I've been enjoying reading your journal and learning of the work you do. I hope it continues to go well. Have fun,
Frank
