Lynn,
  I really liked the sea ice!  It was easy to forget that those great big giant chunks and cubes of ice that glistened blue in the sun was the ocean.  The newer ice (nilas) was transparent and would have beautiful frost flowers formed on it.  You could also see polar bear tracks among the frost flowers in the nilas.
