Hi Betsy.

I love your journals. Very interesting learning about the work. I really like the sunrise photo from BASC. When will the sun NOT set? Or, is it up above the horizon the entire time now?

Keep up the great work!

Tomorrow is the Spring Equinox.  On the equinoxes, there is an equal amount of light around the world (give or take a fraction of an hour).  Tomorrow Barrow will have 12 hours 16 minutes of daylight.  It will quickl increase by approximately 10 minutes per day.  My students will be plotting this change for Barrow and Tucson for the time that I am up here and see the different rates of change!
I'm glad that we are not in complete sunlight, because it means that I still have a chance to see the aurora.
