Thanks for the update--just saw the post about landing in Cambridge Bay etc.  I guess people in the Arctic are so hospitable because it is such a foreboding environment for so much of the year? We are all fine here!

Yes, without the support of neighbors, life would be very difficult here. When Dawn drove us out to the tundra, a neighbor drove out on her 4-wheeler after us just to make sure her old truck did not give out and leave 8 Arctic researchers stranded in the tundra!xxox
