Oceanographic Conditions of Bowhead Whale Habitat

Hi Ms. Seff my question is, are the bowhead whales endangered? If so why?

Hi! Yes the bowhead whale is still on the endangered list, althoughthere is debate as to whether they still should be or not, based on
their increasing population #'s. They were originally placed on the list because
their numbers had decreased due to excessive numbers of whales being caught
commercially. However due to whaling restrictions the bowhead population appears
to be increasing.
