Dear Mr Miller,Laughing

Im in Isabellas class and my name is Marion I just want to interview you real quick like ask some questions.

Do you travel all around the world?

Do you get to see Isabella a lot?

Have you ever seen a real penguin before?

Are you very happy your on a website?

Well thats all the questions i ahve for you today Mr Miller so if you can answer this then that would be great!

From Isabella's friend,

Marion

Allan Miller

Marion - I've been really fortunate in that I've had the opportunity to many different places around the world.  Mostly I've spent time in Russia - I studied Russian in college and that has enabled me to spend about a year and a half all over the country, teaching, studying and coaching.  If you like to travel - a great way to open up opportunities to see many foreign places is to learn a second or even a third language.  Spanish, French, Japanese, Russian, German, etc - speaking only English when you want to explore the world is like crawling when you could be running!  So take advantage of opportunities that you will likely have in school to learn another language! Here's a picture of the last penguins we saw - the whole pack was playing on the fast ice as we approached McMurdo Station - I think they were a bit shocked to see this huge beast breaking the ice right at them

Hope you are enjoying 2007 already - please say hi to Isabella for her Uncle Allan - unfortunately all the travel we do doesn't bring us to Chicago too often so I haven't seen here since this fall.  Thanks for the questions and for following our trip!   Allan
