Hi,

I have not found a possibility to comment on the entries in the journals directly.

This would provide an essential way to communicate with Mrs Kaden or the other teacher. It would give them immediate feedback on what the readers like to read about and what is most interesting to them.

I have only found the possiblity to ask questions in the "ask questions" section but they are torn from the article then with the result that others do not link the comment to the journal entry. They might not even read it.

I like to read the journal entries that interest me and would like to read the comments to that subject. I do not have too much time on hand to read through all those questions, so I am afraid I miss out on some very good comments.

To give an example:

Mrs Kaden posted a wonderful picture / cartoon, one of her physics students (Elva Yanez) drew for her (http://www.polartrec.com/node/91) and I would have liked to comment on this without it being lost in the millions of questions on the "ask questions" category. So that Elva might have seen the comment also.

Well, let me still say this here:

Elva, this picture is absolutely awesome!

Ute Kaden

Thank you so much for the comment on Evas drawing. My studentsproduced some outstanding artwork related to Antarctica, IPY and the Oden trip. I will forward the compliments to Elva.
The new webportal is still under development and we are working on the issue you pointed out. Thank you for the valuable input and keep reading.
Yours,
Ute Kaden
