Hi . What is the difference between life on land and on the oden? From Radfords LBE 18.Erin and Cameron

Jeff Peneston

Erin & Cameron,
There are many differences and one of the most obvious is that we are completely isolated from our homes and families.  We are also constantly moving from side to side as the great ship responds to the waves.  But the most important difference is that most people don’t live, 24 hours a day, in a big house with 53 other people.  We all on the Oden together and there is no way to get off.  It is important that you respect everyone else.  We all have work to do, concerns about family at home and broad range of different backgrounds, languages and customs. Being polite is very important because if you don’t get along with someone else, you are still going to have to live with them for the next 5 weeks!
I am glad you are following my trip.  I think you will like the video that I am trying to post for today  (12/6).
Take care,
Jeff Peneston
