this is rachel from your ac1 class. It is really cool that you saw penguins! It must have been a huge weather change from miami to Antarctica. i really liked the palm tree,dolphin, and penguin pictures.

Rachel,
Thank you for your note.  When I am thousands of miles from home, on the cold, rolling sea, it is good to know that you are following my journey.
So far I have been from the snows of a Syracuse winter to the sun of Miami and then to the warmth of and Uruguay summer.  Now the temperature has been dropping every day that we head South.  This afternoon we will cross 60? S and officially be in Antarctic waters.  The temp of both air an sea is now 4?C.
