Hi Jeff! I just know you are sooo excited about your fast-approaching expedition! We are getting ready along with you here at Redd School. The students and I have been remembering last year's voyage, and they are curious and excited about what your impressions will be. Enjoy your last week here :) Lollie

Lollie!
Excited?  Week?  My head is spinning with the list of things that I have to get done in the 5 days I have left.  2 months of lesson plans, 2 going away parties, packing, etc.... you know. .  And, we just had our first good snowfall of the year with another storm due this weekend.  Time to teach my son to run the snow blower.  I am looking forward to 16-hour days on the Oden so that I can get a little rest, Ha!
I am also trying to imagine saying "good bye" to my family for 2 months and 3 holidays…. You know.
Yes, I am excited because I am blessed with the chance to experience a magical place with the support of a loving family and good friends, like you.
…. this is not a drill…

Jeff, I can relate!
This time last year was a madhouse in my mind trying to remember everything, triple checking lists, leaving post-its everywhere for my husband,, and organizing school. Yep, that plane ride was very relaxing!!!
I hope you have a great family holiday. Safe sailing my friend - by the next post you will be in South America!
Cheers, Lollie
PS- Love the picture in the water!

What do you mean 16 hour work days onboard Oden?
(The sun shines 24 hours a day!)
I'm looking forward to working with you, Jeff.
See you soon! Tish

With Tish and Lollie on my side, how could it get any better?
Relaxation finally came today in the form of a flight cancellation.  You can read about it in my journal.  I hope that you (Tish) received my package in time to share it with your family.  This evening, before I head to the airport (again) I plan to pull up Lollie’s journal from last year and read it all again.  Both of you inspire me.
Thanks for everything,
Jeff
