Have you ever found something in the frozen ice underneath the water alive ?

Mr.Peneston

I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but let me try to answer.  I have never been to Antarctica or worked on sea ice so I have never found anything there yet.  Many of the scientists on the Oden have collected sea ice before and studied the living algae and bacteria that live in it.  Growing up near Syracuse, NY I have explored lake ice for many years and I have found fish and frogs that have been frozen in the layers of ice on a lake.  I think most of them were dead but I believe that some fish and frogs have the ability to survive in such conditions.
Take care and keep the questions coming,
