How cold is it in antartica?

First, I am sorry that it has taken me so long to reply to your question but here goes.
We are having summer with 24 hours of daylight here in Antarctica.  So, even on the frozen surface of the sea ice the temperature is only a few degrees below freezing.  I think the coldest we have seen so far is about -5? C.  I know it has been colder in Liverpool in the last few weeks and you have definitely had more snowfall.
