how do you sleep in that bed? it is so small! Do you like chicken? Is it fun on the ODEN? How do you catch the seals? if you freeze into an ice cube will you survive when you thaw out, and be the same age? how will you come back? will you come back the same way you came? what do you do when you have free time on the ODEN?

Justin and Garrett,
The bed in my room is almost a normal length and since I am only 5’9” tall I have no problem.   The seal research team will use a soft, strong net to catch the seals and I will help them.
People cannot be frozen and brought back to life.  Remember that most of your flesh is made of water and when water freezes it forms crystals and it expands.   Generally, the ice crystals will puncture the cell walls of your flesh and break.  You can get some idea of what it would look like if you take a fresh stalk of celery and you put it in the freezer overnight.  It goes in crisp with cells full of water and it comes out limp after the cell walls have been ruptured.   Some animals have developed chemicals in their cells that keep them from freezing at normal ice temperatures so that the animal can avoid freezing.  Some of the fish that live under the polar sea ice survive this way.
I am glad you are following my trip.  I think you will like the video that I am trying to post for today  (12/6).
Take care,
Jeff Peneston
