Sarah,Thank you for your note and I am glad to know that you are enjoying my adventure.  I was thinking of you the other day when all of us received amazing embroidered jackets from the Swedish Polar Secretariat.  There was a huge, missed opportunity for the Americans to have brought imprinted gifts to exchange.  Everyone I spoke to seemed to think that they didn’t know who to call or what to do to create such gifts!  They just need to have the right friends.
Well, maybe next time.  (don’t tell Jan I said that!)
This Christmas, 8000 miles from home, I have a deeper understanding of the value of the time I spend with my family.  I hope you enjoy every minute of the holidays with yours.
