Are you having fun? Are you getting sea sick? Did you see any fish? What are you doing when you are not working? Did you see a snowman? Will you make any snowmen when you get there?

It is great to hear from you.  I hope that you and your brother and sister are having fun reading my journal.  Yes, I am having fun too.  Yesterday I put on my bathing suit and I went out on the deck of the rolling ship.  I wanted to shoot video of the huge waves that were slamming into the ship.  The air and the water were both about 40? F so when the waves hit me it was seriously COLD!  But, your dad taught me how to make videos and so I had to do it.  I wanted him to be proud of me!  Look for the video in my journal for 12/6.
I have not seen any fish in the sea but the ship’s chef makes salmon several times a week and there is some kind of fish at every meal, even breakfast.
In a few days we will be out of the waves and into the calm ice covered part of the ocean.  Then I will be able to get off the ship and walk on the sea ice to help the scientists drill holes in the ice and collect samples of the microscopic life that lives inside the sea ice.  I am sure we will make a few snowmen and take pictures to show you.  Take care and keep writing me questions,
