It is great to know that you are having fun following the expedition. At this moment we are almost to the tip of South America and we are about to enter the wild Drake Passage. Here the waves are only about 1 meter tall but the waves in the Drake are about 6 meters (19 feet) tall! It will take us about 3-4 days to pass through this wild section of ocean and then we will be off the coast of Antarctica’s Palmer peninsula. We should be ready to enter the ice in about 6 days.
