Oden Antarctic Expedition 2010

Hi Lollie - yes, it's getting very exciting now! Just got my plane tickets booked - I leave LA on the afternoon of Dec. 4 and arrive in Punta Arenas, Chile at 7:00 pm on Dec. 5. I believe we board the Oden on the 6th, and sail on the 8th. I have been been very busy with the classroom flag project-flags arriving daily and working to get new journal posts on-line. I'm conducting parent conferences 3 weeks early because I'll be gone when they are normally held, and completing district paperwork for my substitute coverage. Today I did a presentation for my running/marathon training group and then another presentation for a social/charity group I belong to - OUTREACH!!! Next week I present to our PTA and a Scandinavian service organization. And I am getting over a nasty bout of bronchitis (brought about by over-doing it I'm sure!) Thankfully my doctor was aggressive with my treatments and I'm recovering quickly. I do have the whole week of Thanksgiving off school, so that will be my time to pack, and rest up too! I'll be in touch again soon! AM
