Polar Bear Response to Sea Ice Loss

How many hours of daylight are there right now? How about at the end of your trip?

Will you really be going all the way to the geographic North Pole?

Hi,Great question! I'll try to make sure to post this information in each of
my journals. It will be changing a lot over the course of the time while
I am here. The further north we travel the fewer hours of daylight there
will be. Yesterday, for example sunrise was at 8:43am and sunset was
around 7:50pm.
The path that we are traveling completely depends on where the bears are
located. We are using daily updated locations based on their GPS collars
to plot our path (check out the 9/28 post for an in depth look at the GPS
collars). However, we are currently the northernmost boat out here.
To see where we are at, check out the project page as well because for
each journal I am updating the latitude and longitude coordinates.
