Is a wolf spider more common in a particular area? If so, where? If the climate is cold or vice versa, would it be hard for the spider to adjust to those changes? Is there anyway, if it was necessary for them to travel, to help with the adjustments?

The abundance of wolf spiders in different areas really depends on the species. Pardosa lapponica is the most common in the areas around Toolik Field Station. Hogna carolinensis is the most common species of wolf spider in South Carolina where Pardosa lapponica can't be found.Part of our study is interested in addressing your second question about the ability of spiders to adapt to climate change. We don't really have conclusive answers at this point.
