Hey Nick- loving the journals & pics! You really caught the neat ambiance of the fog.

I'm fairly far north (northern Wisconsin) now, noticing that I'm awake more and sleeping less with the long photoperiod. But today we have rainy, dark weather & I noticed I slept in an hour & a half later than normal! My question is if you noticed an affect on your body clock, too, when the sun went away.

Keep up the great work, & have fun! -Bill Schmoker

It's great to hear from you Bill! I really didn't notice any difference on that particular day in terms of my alertness. I have noticed that I require less sleep now that I'm in 24 hours of natural light. In fact, I don't like using the artificial light in my tent, I open the windows instead. The timing of a question from the PolarTREC bird expert couldn't be better. We saw a pair of tundra swans both yesterday and today. I'm also writing this at 12:45 AM while waiting to go out with a bird research crew. I'll try to get some good shots for you! Take Care,
Nick
