When you traveled to Montreal for the Polar Educators meeting, you said you were surrounded by people from a lot of other countries. Were you able to interact and talk to them all or was there a language barrier? You said you had a different menu every night, like Thai night. What if there was a night where they cooked something you really didn't like? What would you eat?

The Polar Educators event was an amazing experience because I was able to discuss education with teachers from all around the world. Language really wasn't a problem because nearly everyone spoke English. A variety of foods are always available at Toolik. We have a large salad and sandwich bar, as well as refrigerators full of leftovers. It was never a problem to find something good to eat!
