HI DOC!!!!

This is Michelle and Kushi and we miss you so much! We have been watching your journal and we couldn't help but smile when we saw the picture of your tea thermos! Glad you're keeping warm :)

Things are doing well in Marin, Grifo pretended to shoot himself today because he remembered about the "Drake Unplugged Day" so our history presentations have gotten pushed back for the third week in a row! Jasper and I (kushi) stapled all the sophomore award packets after school today and I almost cried. We're starting Macbeth this week, and we've all memorized half of our duck variations! We're so sad you wont be able to see our performances (or our food presentations) but we know you're having an amazing time in Finland!

Have fun with your mystery meat, and please don't shoot anymore polar bears! (or at least don't tell Kushi about it afterwards) Only 21 more days until we get our Doc back! Keep us posted, Michelle and Kushi

Thank you Michelle and Kushi!
It's really too early to get weepy about the end of ROCK.  We have a month to go.
There is one expedition where they shoot polar bears with tranquilizer darts.  The bear wakes up again!  Actually that expedition also features a teacher from the Bay Area - Christina Galvan, who teaches high school in East Palo Alto.
THat's pretty funny about Grifo.   yours always, Michael ("Doc" Wing

That's all very nice, Doc, but you're still shooting a bear!
Also, I do not approve of you wearing a fox :)
Michelle and Marcelo and Will Sale all say hi! We're at a group meeting right now, working on our FDR timeline for Grifo.
I have science tomorrow, and I miss you (the other ROCK teachers can testify, I won't shut-up about it)
Have a glorious day tomorrow!

Doc, Gourmet (the class) was wondering if you could make some more of those pendants or bring some materials so we can make them here...or just show us how.
Have a geat trip,

Hi Micheal,
I would also love to learn how to make a pendant. I think we have similar stone here in Alaska; it is called graywake (not sure about the spelling).

Hi Kristin!
Graywacke is a kind of fine-grained gray sandstone, and yes, you probably can use sharp peices of quartz to drill holes in it.  It really helps, though, for the rock you are drilling to be THIN!  yours always, Mike Wing
