Hello! We miss you! How long does it take to get to Palmer Station and how do you get there?

Hi Caroline and Julia!Thank you for the note. I'm on my way to Chile right now. I won't actually arrive at Palmer Station until Valentine's Day because the boat trip from Punta Arenas, Chile to Palmer Station is 4 days long! I will be posting journals daily, so be sure to check in.

I forgot to answer the 2nd part of your question. Take a look at my journal from today (2-9-2012). There's an animation that Ms. Crowe made of my route. I'm flying from:- State College to Detroit
- Detroit to Atlanta
- Atlanta to Santiago, Chile
- Santiago, Chile to Punta Arenas, Chile.
In Punta Arenas I will get on a boat for the 4-day journey to Palmer Station! There are more details about the boat trip in my journal. Check it out!
