Hi Ms. Herrmann,
I feel really bad for not keeping in touch with you as much as I should've. I just caught up on the journals I haven't read yet, and honestly, everything just looks too cool! The pictures and the videos are amazing. I'm so jealous of you. I'm going to have to find a way to get to Antarctica... But I've really been enjoying your journals; I feel like I've learned more from your journals than in a week of science class... ;) Your 2/26 journal was fascinating...the video was phenomenal. Can't wait to see the results of the experiment. Are there any other insects near Palmer which Mr. Karawasaki has studied? Are insects very common in Antarctica in the first place? Not much is going on at school; there've been times when I'm in LE, and I think, "I need to ask Ms. Herrmann about such-and-such," and then I'll remember you're not there. It feels like you left for Antarctica just yesterday! We do miss you though. Mrs. Mistrick is really nice. Oh, tomorrow is Lip Dub. I'm not planning on participating, but I'm really excited to see the end result, and I'm proud of our school for doing this. I wish you were here for it. Anyway, I hope you're having fun (although it seems like you are); keep up the journals (and I'll try to keep in touch...).
