Hello!

So sorry for the lack of interaction, I had some traveling of my own to do!

It sounds like the research and expeditions are amazing and very exciting! Regarding your seismograph journal... I was just wondering if you knew how broad of a range the seismograph at Palmer Station can detect activity? If there are many seismographs throughout the world monitoring movement, is one specifically responsible for a certain area of land?

I hope you are having fun and learning tons!

Hi Kyra,It's all good- no worries. I am always happy to hear from you whenever! Were you traveling for gymnastics?
Mark and Ben told me the seismograph @ Palmer Station detects earthquakes of magnitude of 5 or higher. It can detect earthquakes all over the world as far as I know.
There have been earthquakes in Tonga and Papua New Guinea most recently.
Keep in touch!
