hi my name is Marie from Mr. Wood's forth period class. If you don't mind i have some questions about your expedition. First i would like to know if you ever get sea sick when on the boat. I also want to know how many people are on the boat with you. Finally, i want to know how big is the boat and is the sea rough is the sea out there. Thank you for your time.

Hi Marie, thanks for writing. I will start from your last question towards the
beginning. The ship is 100 m long, about a football field. It sails very
well even in large seas, which we have encountered plenty. We are on bad
weather right now, and wondering if we will be able to sample once we get
to a station. We have lost at least 7 days of work due to t he rough seas.
The Southern Ocean is famous for its roughness. We are about 50 people on
board, and I have not fully gotten sick yet. I take a pill that help me
feel better and lay down when it gets rally bad. My stomach feels bad most
of the time, but it is worth it!
Thanks for writing,
Juan.
