We were trying to understand how important is the ocean for the environment equilibrium, and it seems like fundamental. On the other side, we were also concern about the human impact and the speed of its damage on oceans in its greatness. Your writting have somehow cleared out some of this issues. Carbon cycle seems to be particularily important in what it has been mentioned. Hope to read more about this and other findings

Dear Carlos and SofĂa, thanks for writing again. I do think the biggest threat for the oceans
at this point is produced by the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere and its
uptake by the oceans. There are a lot of natural processes in response to
the new conditions that we do not fully understand, and that is why it is
important to have the type of research that people on this ship are doing.
The biggest and faster impacts due to the increase of CO2 in the
atmosphere are seen in the Polar regions. We are trying to understand how
these regions respond to the changes that we are inducing, and we need to
keep researching and monitoring these areas.
Thanks again for writing.
Juan.
