Hello, this is Daniel from Talbert Middle School in Mr.Wood's 4th Period Class. The super moon must have been awesome looking. I wish I could have been out there to see it. Here's a question to ask you, when the Supermoon was out did it effect the amount of gases ni the atmosphere. I would appreciate if you would answer this question. -Daniel

Hi Daniel, thanks for writing. The moon rise we saw was truly spectacular. Yo do
not need to travel to Antarctica to see it though. It just happened that we
were here. You can see this moon from you r home, assuming it is not too
cloudy, whenever there is a full moon when the earth is closest to the
moon. Last time it was this close was almost 20 years ago. You just need to
know when it will happen or be lucky like me. I did not know and stumbled
upon it.
The super moon does not affect the gases on the atmosphere. It might
make the tides a bit larger in some areas, but not by much.
Thanks for writing,
Juan.
