Hi Mr. Botella, how is Antarctica?

It is 9:00 pm here, and I was wondering if there is a time differece where you are.

We all miss you here at school. How has the trip been so far? Have you been really sick, or is it better than you expected?

I hope you are having a great time and learning a lot!

Hi Ellen, thanks for writing. That is a very good question, since I am writing to
you from the future. When you are at 9 pm on a Tuesday, we are at 4 pm
on Wednesday. The easy way for me to remember what time is at Monona or
Cottage Grove (for those who migh tread this and not know where these
towns are, they are next to Madison, Wisconsin's capital) is to add five
hours to my time, and subtract 24 hours. You can subtract five hours (9
pm - 5 = 4 pm) and add a day. This means we are 19 hours ahead of you.
Thanks again for writing.
Juan.

You're welcome.
That is much further ahead than I expected! It's funny to think that you are almost a whole day ahead of us.
