Dear Mr.Botella,

We were just wondering what you eat when you are on the boat?

Hi Kelly, Wendy and Grace, thanks for writing. We are eating like royalty on the boat. We have two
amazing cooks, Nestor and Alejandra, who keep feeding us very well. You
would be amazed at the dessert table! We have fresh salads and vegetables,
rice and beans most every day, wonderful mashed potatoes, a couple of meat
dishes (pork, beef or chicken). A soup every day, fresh fruits and canned
fruits, and cakes, ice cream and cookies.
We just left port five days ago, and people talk about the time that will
come soon when no more fresh veggies will be available, so I am eating a
lot of them now. Ask me the same question in 60 days from now, and I am
sure the answer will be different. We cannot stop and buy more groceries on
the way.
I plan to write an extensive journal entry about this. I am actually
taking a picture of every meal I eat here. Lok for that later.
Juan.

Wow, The food sounds very yummy!!! I'll be looking forward to that journal entry too. I'm glad to hear that you're stomach had been holding up even with the storms.

Thanks Ellen, I have had a couple of lazy days on my attempts to not get sea sick. It
seems we might leave the storms grip by tonight, yuppi! I have so much to
write about, and the food is one of them. Thanks for writing,
Juan.

You are very welcome. Lazy days can be good sometimes. You do what ever it takes to keep that tummy calm. Maybe you can make all of the teachers back here loose their bets! ;) I"ll look forward to reading more about your journey.

Thanks Ellen, you just gave me one more reason for not letting my self be seasick.
Juan.
