Hi Diandra and Ed White Middle School in San Antonio! It's great to hear from home. It snowed all day today (Monday) and it was very pretty. It's cold now, but not too bad - around 29 degrees Fahrenheit.We have definitely seen some beautiful things during our trip. There are some pictures on the web site you can look at to see some of the sights. The last four days have been all open ocean - nothing on the horizon except more water! We should hit ice this evening and the landscape will
change dramatically. It's amazing how many shades of blue and white there are!
It's definitely fun...you might think that scientists are serious all the time and not very fun to hang out with, but that's not true of the group I'm with. The scientists are from all over the world (Belgium, Netherlands, Canada, US) and so its fun to talk about how things are different (and the same) all over the world.
We also have a very comfortable place to watch movies (no tv reception down here!)in our free time. It's also nice to go up to the bridge and watch the world go by.
Thanks for writing Diandra, I hope you and your classmates will continue to follow what we are doing and send more messages!
