Soil Ecology in Antarctic Dry Valleys

Is the soil sandy or rocky and hard and is there plants and small trees growing.

WE have seen a variety of soil types. Some are sandy, some as fine as powder. Others are very rocky and some have a nice amount of organic matter. We have found that if you mix soils from all around the Dry Valleys they come together to form a pretty healthy looking soil. JK
