I know this is not in the right forum but I could find one that it would seem to fit into.
My name in Christopher Manzione. I'm an artist living in Brooklyn NY and I also run The Virtual Public Art Project (www.virtualpublicartproject.com)
VPAP is an augmented reality viewing platform for the public display of virtual works of art. The virtual data gets overlaid with the realtime camera view of smartphones. The virtual models are place with the GPS of the phone.
I would like to place a Virtual flag at the south pole in honor of Amundsen and Scott. I will be placing the flag on site within the next couple of weeks.
SO - Why am I writing well with a couple questions and concerns.
Is there cellphone service at the south pole? If so do Iphone/android phones work? And if so anyone want to take a screenshot of the flag for me?
Would might I be able to talk with about this project, that is currently at the south pole?
any help would be amazing!
