HEY!

I really enjoyed video-conferencing with you. I read your description of christmas on the blog and had a few questions.

1. You said that what you will miss most when you leave is the light, how would you describe it and what is the difference in quality from New York light? (wetter, sharper, what have you.)

2. My mother is sitting over my shoulder and wants to know what the first steps to reach the south pole are? (she loves the snow)

3.  How did it feel to have a white christmas?????

Thank you for your time, Innocent

Hi Lillian, Thank you for the comment and the questions. I enjoyed the video conferences as well. That was special.1. The light is very crisp and clear most of the time when it is not cloudy. Since we have such clear air , the light is not as scattered as it would be in New York.2. No one can actually just come here. One needs to be invited for a job. However, there are private adventure groups that lead people here on skies. I do not know much about it but I know it is very expensive. 3. To have a white Christmas was just wonderful, in particular with 9700 feet of accumulated snow!! Even Santa made it to the South Pole!! Happy New Year, Elke Bergholz
