Dear Elke,

I just looked at the live webcam shot of the new station ... Wow ... I would love to see a picture of the old station, is it submerged in snow by now?

Dear Jeannie, I am glad that you looked at the webcam here at the station . It is actually mounted on the roof of ARO, our observatory. If you look at the journal that talks about our air-drop event ( December 19), you will see some very good shots of the old dome. I was able to get those shots from our common computer drive at the station. Pilots took these shots at station opeing day, October 26! I will also go out and take some more shots of the dom and I will post those. The dome is almost covered with snow. It looks so small agains the new bulding. It is empty now and they took off the sign over the entrance . They just put new constrction in front of it. I hope the dom can be saved by taken it apart and rebuilding it somewhere in the US as a museum. That would be great. However, I heard that it is not so easy to do.
Until later, Elke
