Hello Sabina, Paul, Adriana and Clara in Toronto!I am so glad that you are with me in your thoughts and that your are excited for me!I am doing very similar experiments campared to the last time I was here in 1998/99 : researching the ozone. I will compare the two data sets. We added a special experiment looking at the photochemistry above the snow that produces more surface ozone . I will also look  closely at the CO2  and CFC data and compare it to the data from 1998/99.  In terms of the research: ozone, it looks like we are getting similar data. The CO2 in the atmosphere is still increasing, the CFC is declining. In terms of the station: the old dom is empty and the New South Pole station is just amazing. I have a room inside the new satioon and not in summer camp! To all of you a wonderful Christams. My you have time to rest and reflect!! Cheers, ELke
