why is the antarctic so barren couldn't you plant trees in a green house to prevent the ozone hole? why don't you? would it cost to much?

Hi , The Antarctic is so barren because of the cold temperatures. The temperatures do not reach O degree F here at the pole even in the summer.  So trees and other plants could not survive here. Snow has been accumulating for so many years here at the pole . so we are also at 9700 feet high altitude.  Trees would not be able to prevent the ozone hole. I think you mean prevent the warming of the atmosphere because plants take in CO2.
We need to plant trees wherever we can .We are all connected with the atmosphere. Whatever we do in New York will also effect the Antarctic continent.
