How different are the the species of penguin?

Tim Spuck

The penguin colony that I've been working with has Adelie penguins in it. These penguins are about 18 inches to 2 feet in height. The other type of penguin that most people are familiar with is the Emperor Penguins which (from what I've seen) are 3 to 4 feet in height. They also seem to communicate a bit differently ... definitely different sounds. Other than that do seem to be pretty similar. They seem to get along when they are around each other as well. they just sort of hang out. Hope that answers your question. best wishes, Tim
