Hi there. I am trying to settle a debate with my friend about the daily path of the sun down there. Does it go in circles around the sky at McMurdo? I guess it doesn't even have a daily cycle at the South Pole, right? Thanks! Jason

FYI the solstice in the Eastern time zone in the US was at 12:30 AM December 22nd.

Hi Jason,
Yes, the sun here just goes around in circles. It does slightly rise and fall as it moves. I keep waiting for a clear day to take some time lapse photography to show this. It is pretty interesting though!
Great question!
Sincerely,
Michelle
